• Source : vegetable kingdom 
• Common name : leopard's bane
• Family : compositae
• Prover : Dr. Hahnemann 
• Miasm : psora
• Temperament : Nervous 
• Diathesis : haemorrhagic
• Thermal : very chilly

Guiding symptoms + keynotes 

1. Sore, lame, bruised feeling all through the body as if beaten.
2. Everything on which he lies seems too hard. complaints constantly of it and moves place to place for in search of a soft spot.
3. heat of upper part of the body with Deathly coldness in forearm. 
4. constipation : rectum loaded, feces will not come away, Ribbon like stool due to enlarged prostate or retroverted uterus.
5. tendency for small painful boils, one after another, characteristically symmetrical distribution. 
6. arnica causes and cures hemorrhage of any kind, in tissues internal organs and also skin.
7. violent spasmodic cough causing retinal hemorrhage or blood in sputum, which is very offensive. 
8. Local application promotes hair growth. 

CVS

• Angina pectoris.
• Pain in left elbow. 
• Puls feeble, irregular.
• Fatty heart and hypertrophy. 
• Fear of death rousing him up at night, with cardiac distress. 

Injury+

• Indicated in acute and chronic injury both. 
• Type of injury : lacerated, bruised and contused wound. 
• A/F : blow, fall, traumatic & mechanical injury, injury from blunt instrument. 
• Arnica is best first aid as it controls haemorrhage, reabsorbs extravasation of blood and prevents suppuration and septic condition. 
• Affected part is painful and sensitive to touch. 
• Becomes blue / black with extravasation of blood. 
• Sore, lame bruised feeling in affected part. 
• Everything feels hard on which pt lies. 

Rheumatism

• Ascending rheumatism. 
• Oversensitive to touch. 
• Pain in back, pelvis & limbs, so he can't walk erect. 
• < touch. 
• > lying down. 

Mind

• The pt remains unconscious, when spoken to, answers correctly and completely, but immediately unconsciousness and delirium returns. 
• Fear of death rousing him up at night with cardiac distress. 

Fever

• Generally indicated in typhoid fever. 
• Heat of upper part of body, while limbs are deathly cold. 
• During fever, there is low muttering delirium, pt lies unconscious. Whenever anything is asked, he answers correctly & fully. But unconsciousness at once returns. (falls asleep in midst of answer - Bapt.)

Modalities

• Aggravation : least touch, motion, rest, damp cold weather.
